About the Australasian Society of Vasectomists (ASV)
The Australasian Society of Vasectomists (ASV) is committed to advancing the field of vasectomy and supporting medical professionals who perform this important procedure across Australia and New Zealand.
We strive to ensure high standards of practice, facilitate professional collaboration, and foster a community dedicated to excellence in vasectomy care.
Our Objectives:

Promote the Practice of Vasectomy: Advocate for vasectomy as a safe, effective, and accessible form of permanent contraception, raising awareness among both the public and the medical community.

Provide a Professional Forum: Establish a supportive community for vasectomy practitioners to share insights, discuss complex cases, and collaborate on professional development.

Host Regular Conferences and Educational Meetings: Organize in-person conferences, webinars, and online meetings to provide members with the latest updates, research, and advancements in the field of vasectomy.

Develop and Publish Clinical Guidelines: Create, review, and disseminate evidence-based clinical guidelines to uphold the highest standards of patient care and procedural safety.

What We Do Not Do: The ASV does not offer training programs for doctors looking to learn vasectomy techniques. Our focus is on supporting established practitioners through education, networking, and clinical guidance.
Membership
Membership in the ASV is open to all qualified doctors in Australia and New Zealand who perform at least 100 vasectomy procedures annually.
